A Robot Angel

Can a story be told in a sentence? How much can one say in a sentence?  Will it touch the reader emotionally?

Here is one of my one sentence shorts:

A luminous robot angel picked her up from her place in the queue at the Supermarket checkout and placed her back in her bed.

  1. I like this one, it reminds me of the typical pick&place task performed by industrial robots — except that this task is on a different, angelic (dream) scale.


    1. Thanks, Hermann! I find the “pick and place robots,” or should I say robotic arms, fascinating. I have more robot stories coming out shortly…
