The meditation path, St. Thekla

The Monastery and votive Church of St.Thekla, built in 1758, rising high above the town of Welden, attracts continuous attention and interest. The meditation path, well signposted, and with resting benches along the way, offers space and guidance to help steer the visitors through the eighteen stations to self-reflection, prayer, and renewal. Pilgrimage walking here is presented as therapeutic.

This was my first walk on the path. I returned home feeling both refreshed, awake, and hungry for more.
