Welcome to my website and reading room blog.
Here I blog about themes of interest and relevance to my work as a writer. Art, Literature, Society, Culture, Spirituality are the main signposts that provide a guide to my writing landscape.
I grew up in Athens, Greece. Now I divide my time between London and Augsburg. This European background underpins my work in the pursuit of meaning.
I write prose and poetry. My poetry and short stories have been included in anthologies, in print, online magazines and elsewhere. Some of my publications:
bottle rockets, Shamrock, Contemporary Haibun Online and Contemporary Haibun, A Hundred Gourds, tiny words, Asahi Haikuist Network, Mainichi Shimbun, Chrysanthemum, escarp, 7×20, 52|250, trapeze magazine, unfold magazine, Off the Coast, in the Anthologies Dance the Guns to Silence (Flipped Eye, 2005), Gathering Diamonds from the Well (New Gallery Books, 2007), and elsewhere.
I have co-edited Even Paranoids Have Enemies (Routledge, 1998) and Beyond Madness (JKP, 2002) and published articles and reviews in other books and journals.
Pottery and yoga are my main “hobbies.” I also enjoy walking around the Bavarian lakes and rivers, the Swabian flatlands, or strolling on the North Norfolk coast and along the Thames. And of course I read. A lot.
I am member of English PEN, the Haiku Society of America, and the North London Writers’ Group Word for Word. The link to my page on the The Haiku Foundation‘s Haiku Registry site is here
